Orphism is a style of art in which the artist emphasizes the use of shape line and color.

ReplyDeleteRorbet Delaunay was a French painter who painted abstract art in the style of art known as Orphism. He was married to painter Sonia Delaunay who also painted in this style. They lived in Paris.
Robert was born in 1885 and died in 1841 at the age of 56.
Mr Cappiello's Third grade Class:
DeleteRobert Delaunay was inspired by other artists who were living in Paris at the time he was. One of these painter's was Pablo Picasso. Picasso painted in the style known as cubism.
Robert was born in 1885 and died in 1941.

ReplyDeleteWe are painting a picture inspired by Robert Delaunay's Rhythm painting. We are using watercolor paint, circle tracers, rulers, watercolor paper, and craypas. This is our third art class working on this project. We are beginning to paint our pictures. Our paintings look happy, bright, energetic, and colorful! We will hang these in the spring art show.
I enjoy doing this project.I enjoy when we mix our color on the paper.I think this is my favorite project because it shows how we are felling.I think we should do more projects like this.
DeleteI like to look at differet paintings and art at museum and look at them for a long time. We can show how we feel when we pait it is a lot of fun when you can show how you feel in your paintings
Deleterobert delunay was a french painter who painted in the style of orphism. in art class we are making paintings just like robert delunays paintings. they are all uniqe and dififferent. we are making lots of lines and circles. i really enjoy doing this project.

ReplyDeleteWhen painting with watercolor paint it can be tricky to control our water. Too much water on the brush causes pooling. But if there's not enough water on the brush the paint won't move.
Mrs Nelson's class:
ReplyDeleteWe are enjoying making our paintings. It is fun learning about new artist's and making art in a new way. We are blending two colors together to make new colors in our paintings. We especially liked using the watercolor with the cray-pa.
I am impressed with the fine lines in the top picture; the colors clash, which happens to catch my eye. It’s different from other paintings.

I like this picture because it is a variety of colors and we noticed that you used the colors from the rainbow. We also noticed that it has a 3-D effect.

I like painting with a brush more than coloring because you can blend the colors easier and change your ideas as you go along!

year I remember when we did those pictures
and I still have mine in my room. I loved the

I love the way the 3rd graders set up there area. It's so smart to put your water and paint on your right side if you are a righty, and your left side if you are a lefty. I remember doing thisartwork last year.It was one of my favorite projects in art.
The 3rd graders are doing such a great job.

I think art is artistic and creative. Art is really fun. You can express your feelings and paint what you want to paint. I like to paint all sorts of things, but I never thought about shapes and lines. All third grade classes are very creative.

Robert Delunay is a french painter who painted in the style of orphism. In art class, we are painting in the style Robert Delunay painted in. We are making circles and lines and painting with water colors. We are mixing colors and painting to show how we feel. I think we should do another project like this!!!!!!!!!!

I enjoy doing this type of art because I can paint all different colors and it is sooooooooo much FUN!!!!!

I enjoy doing my Orphism painting. I like mixing the colors of the paint on the surface of the painting. First I used pencils and drew circles. Then I outlined them with cray-pas. Now I am painting. I like learning new ways to make art!
