Mrs. DeCicco's First Grade Class: Claude Monet painted a picture with water lilies and a bridge in it. His house was made into a museum in France. It took him 10 years to make one of his water lily paintings. After he finished that painting he died.
Mrs Nobiletti's Class: Claude Monet had a home with a beautiful garden. That home was turned into a Museum. You could go visit it if you went to France. Claude Monet had a wife and 8 children who lived at his house in Giverney, France with him.
Ms Marshall's First Grade Class: We watched a movie about Monet's garden in France. He had a pink house and beautiful garden. We also saw a bridge and boat and lily pond in the movie. Claude Monet painted pictures of these things. We are going to make a drawing of water lilies in Art today.
Last year in kindergarten, I painted a picture of Claude Monet's Water Lilies. We used paint, water paint and for the bridge we used white strips of paper. We also used small pieces of tissue paper for the water lilies. It was a lot of fun! Delaney Variale
