Second Grade Classes are working with clay:

Here's a fun video to watch on how to make a car out of clay.

This video on hand building with clay is full of great ideas. The clay used in these videos is clay that is fired in a kiln and therefore can be used to hold water and serve food. If using oil based clay or self hardening clay it can not be used with water or for use in serving and eating food.

First and fourth grade classes have been creating art using patterns.

First Grade Art Classes painted snow scenes using acrylic paint on blue paper. These are on display in the Elementary school hallway near the First Grade classrooms: 

Snowmen

Kindergarten Classes painted snowmen on blue colored paper this week. We listened to the song "Frosty the Snowman" to help get us in the mood. I also showed this video that I found on youtube:
