Second Grade Classes are working with clay:

Here's a fun video to watch on how to make a car out of clay.




Here's another video on making various shaped pinch pots.




This video on hand building with clay is full of great ideas. The clay used in these videos is clay that is fired in a kiln and therefore can be used to hold water and serve food. If using oil based clay or self hardening clay it can not be used with water or for use in serving and eating food.

Black and White Snow Paintings

Paper making


Third grade classes have been working with paper to create paper sculptures. We have also talked about the art of paper making. The classes were so excited about a few paper making videos I showed in class that I thought I'd post them here. Enjoy!
